The new "RSG" NFPA compliant restraint uses a completely redesigned system to hold the SCBA in place in the event, the vehicle is in a collision. It uses a positive locking "Halo" to hold the bottom (valve end) in place and a “Halo” to hold the top of the tank in place. And a "Receiver" to secure the valve end of the tank. The Halo is released when the firefighter simply pushes down on the release button mounted conveniently in the seat. The release button can be mounted on the left, right, or front edge of any seat. NFPA 1901-03 compliant.
